ACOUSTIC VEHICLE ALERTING SYSTEM (AVAS): Innovative safety technology for electric and hybrid vehicles to ensure reduction of the risk of pedestrian crashes.
Key Characteristics are as below:
- Generate a sound in the minimum range of vehicle speed from start-up to approximately 20 km/h/30km/h.
- Vehicle Speed can be obtained in two modes and can be provisioned by the customer by using CAN -FD and Speed signal B8 from the Tachograph.
- AVAS has a mute function when the Handbrake or the Park is on.
- AVAS System (Speaker + Controller) and able to connect with the Rear Speaker for Reverse functionality. (When Reverse gear is applied).
- Dust and Waterproof capability (Minimum of IP6K9K). AVAS uses an audio recording factory programmed into the system. Operating voltage 12V (9V – 16V)/24V ( 18 V – 32V).
- AVAS will not emit an overall sound level that is more than Max SPL 75 dB(A)@ 2Meters.
