Eggtronic Solution – Wireless Charger & UVC Sanitizer
Dual-function module that provides Wireless charging and UVC sanitization in one assembly – super compact and easy to be integrated. The assembly is based on Eggtronic expertise in the field of Advanced Wireless Charging coupled with integrating ultra-effective UVC Sanitization for Smart Phone.
Eggtronic targets the main issues of wireless charging related to limited charging area, unstable charging, slow and inefficient charging. Eggtronic core technology incorporates Self-alignment, Optimized Coil Geometry and Anchoring System.
With Eggtronic Self-alignment system the phone is put in place, randomly, level of coupling k is computed, the Tx coil is moved step by step, to maximize k and the system is designed to continuously re-adjust. This coupling provides the shortest charging time with minimum thermal dissipation.
For vehicles, inductive wireless solutions developed so far has certain disadvantages as listed below:
- Cannot provide constant phone charging while the car moves due to poor and unstable coupling between transmitter and receiver coils.
- The triple coil system does not assure good coil alignment, also resulting in wasted magnetic flux.
- Phone charging occurs within small, closed environments with limited thermal dissipation and low transmission efficiency, causing recurring charge stops.
- Finally, the establishment of Apple’s MagSafe standard opens up new troubles in magnetic flux targeting. The integrated magnets attract the inductive field, leading to a significant temperature increase due to undesired parasitic currents.
So, what is needed is advanced wireless charging that targets all the problems mentioned above by using a synergic combination of techniques to raise inductive wireless performances, thus granting the best user experience.
Eggtronic’ s Patented Solution provides a single-coil self-alignment system, where the transmitter coil puts itself exactly below the phone coil. When the phone is placed on the charging surface, an evaluation of coil coupling percentage is made, and via an optimized selection algorithm, the fastest path for coil alignment is chosen. At each step, the measurement is repeated, suggesting the direction of movement for the next step: as a result, the transmitter position is gradually adjusted up to perfect alignment.
Stepper motors and actuators control the coil motion to provide the best alignment precision at the lowest power consumption; the whole alignment procedure lasts just a few seconds and is stable over time.
It is worth noticing that, even if the phone undergoes minor displacements due to environmental vibrations, the present system automatically compensates for it, having a sufficiently small resolution for the coil alignment.
Of course, this methodology is particularly significant for iPhone 12 charging, as it minimizes the amount of magnetic flux that directly hits the magnets due to perfect coil alignment, but there is still room for improvement.
