BeBop sensor technology is designed to measure physical interaction. It determines force between a person and an object, Piezo-resistive fabric measures touch, force, bend, twist, location, size, weight, shape with a highly customizable sensor array design.
Basic Design Specifications:
- Base fabric is 0.5mm thick
- Force range measured: 1g to 300kg, depending on desired application
- Operating temperature range: -40C – 100C
- Durability: No degradation over 1M cycles
- Environmental/waterproofing: fabric can be hermetically sealed environment as needed
- Power: draws 2 – 150mA depending on number of sensors
- Communication: USB, UART, CAN, Serial, Bluetooth
- Sew ability: sensor grid can be designed around sew points
- Flammability: > 400C
- Data output: 8-12-bit ADC data can be provided raw or filtered.
- Data relative to applications (ex: weight, center of pressure, shape of impression)
- Sample rate: up to 500 kHz, depending on desired application
- Size limitations: no size limit, can be as small as 2 x 2mm
