Snaptron one of the premier contact dome designers and manufacturer had developed a touch dome that can mimic capacitive touch few years ago. This eliminates inadvertent actuation concerns and reduces system cost – still the application of this innovation has been slow 0 especially in Automotive.
Design HMI LLC has investigated and developed concept design for one application suited for driver door controls and in 2017 will expand applications of Snaptron double detent touch controller.
Custom Peel-N-Place™ Arrays are pre-loaded polyester dome carriers backed with pressure sensitive adhesive. Arrays come loaded with the dome and the standard carrier material is polyester. Placement of the array is quick and easy. Simply peel off the backing, align the array and apply it to your circuit board or membrane.
The DT-Series tactile domes in that IntelliTac™ technology allows for two separate, progressive contact closures in a
single dome switch. The first contact closure is accomplished when light pressure is applied to the switch. Additional pressure snaps the dome, making the second contact closure while giving the user the tactile sensation synonymous with traditional metal dome switches.
