The Bend Sensor can be used to not only measure the bend of the fingers but also the side to side motion of the fingers (abduction and adduction). To measure this Bend Sensors can be placed pre-bent in between the fingers.
Bend Sensors can also be used to measure pressure. Therefore, placing sensors at the tips of the fingers or on the inside of the fingers allows the system to measure grip pressure or touch pressure.
